Anne had a great life: a husband she loved, three amazing kids, and a fulfilling job. Then, one afternoon, she got a visit that changed everything.
It was the police at her door saying her husband had been killed in an automobile accident. Anne was plunged into a nightmare she couldn’t wake up from. It didn’t seem real.
The grief is overwhelming. It’s been six months, and she’s barely able to function. She can’t sleep. She can’t focus on her work. Her kids need her more than ever, but she struggles to be present for them.
She wonders if this pain will ever end.
Chrissy liked her job, enjoyed spending time with friends, and generally felt happy most of the time. Life wasn’t perfect, but it was good.
But lately, something has changed. An immovable dark cloud has formed above her head, and now she constantly feels down. She’s always anxious, can’t focus, and hasn’t had a full night’s sleep in months.
Chrissy has tried ignoring the problem, telling herself it’s just a slump that will pass. She berates herself for struggling like this when “nothing’s wrong.” She’s tried therapy, yoga, and working out, but it’s no help. She’s changed jobs twice, thinking maybe it’s her environment that’s the problem, but it hasn’t helped.
The worst part is she’s not even sure why she feels this way and wonders if this cloud will ever go away.
Rob had a job he loved that made him feel happy and fulfilled. It paid well and allowed him to provide a nice home and a good life for his wife and daughter.
Then the pandemic struck. His company was forced to downsize, and Rob was laid off. He wound up losing his home and was forced to relocate to a small apartment.
He finally managed to find another job, but being unemployed for over a year was a major financial blow. He feels like he’s trying to climb out of a bottomless pit.
The financial stress is overwhelming. He and his wife constantly fight, and he frequently snaps at his daughter. Rob feels like a failure, looking for comfort by sleeping and overeating, which only adds to his isolation and shame.
He wonders if he’ll ever feel normal again.
Something has to change.
No matter what you do to make a change, nothing seems to help.
In fact, sometimes it feels like the more you struggle, the worse things get.
The emotional turmoil affects every aspect of your life – your career, your relationships, your health – and you feel powerless to do anything about it.
It’s time to reclaim your life.
You’re not meant to spend your life suffering alone.
You have the strength to put your pain behind you and start feeling good again.

Anne was sure her pain was a forever thing, but she made an appointment with me anyway. Though the work was sometimes challenging, she stuck with it. Together, we helped her overcome the pain, and, to her surprise, she found that she’d begun enjoying life and could be present for her children. “I didn’t think it could ever happen, but life is good again.”
Chrissy needed guidance and direction. Through our sessions, she realized that growing up in a violent home had traumatized her, making the world seem unsafe. She had unknowingly carried that trauma for years, and now it was manifesting as depression and anxiety in adulthood. Through our work, she gained the skills to heal from the trauma and step out from under the dark cloud and into the joyful life she longed for.
Rob was nervous when we met for the first time. I assured him I would walk with him through this journey and that I had his back no matter what. Through our work together, he has overcome the pain and trauma of losing his job. He feels better about himself. His home is peaceful and loving again, and he’s taking better care of himself. He and his wife feel like a team again and have even created a plan to be debt-free in a couple of years.
